The Mayor & Council has awarded a construction contract for the ‘Atlantic Highlands 2022 Road Program" which includes various improvements within the following limits:
Wesley Avenue (Seventh Ave – East Ave)
East Highland Avenue (First Aid Building – Seventh Ave)
East Mount Avenue (Eighth Ave – Grand Ave & Keystone Dr – Highland Ave)
Chapin Avenue (Mount Ave – Hooper Ave)
Cross Avenue (Eighth Ave – Grand Ave)
First Avenue (South of NJSH Rt 36 - Municipal Boundary)
Please be advised, on-or-about Thursday, December 1, 2022 construction crews anticipate mobilizing to Wesley Avenue to commence work. The scheduled time frame for this work is weather-dependent, and every effort will be made to minimize any inconvenience to residents during this time. Buses and emergency vehicles will have access. The road will remain accessible during construction, although motorists are advised to use caution through the work zone. These streets may be subject to alternate lane closures.
