2010 Fall Leaf and Brush Collection Schedule (pdf)
Sweeping, raking, blowing or otherwise placing yard waste at the curb or along the street is only allowed during the five (5) days prior to a scheduled and announced collection, and shall not be placed closer than 10 feet from any storm drain inlet. Placement of such yard waste at the curb or along the streetat any other time or in any other manner is a violation of Ordinance 27-2005. If such placement of yard waste occurs, the party responsible for placement of the yard waste must remove the yard waste from the street or said party shall be deemed in violation of this ordinance.

Hurricane Preparedness! (pdf)
Hurricane Earl, a dangerous Category 4 storm currently in the Caribbean, is predicted to move along a track paralleling the eastern seaboard over the next few days. While current forecasts indicate that it is unlikely for this storm to have a significant impact on Atlantic Highlands, even a "glancing blow" may result in periods of power outages. Attached is a Hurricane Safety and Preparedness Fact Sheet that can be used to assist in preparation for this and any future storms.

Yellow Flags
The Borough of Atlantic Highlands in conjunction with the Atlantic Highlands Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the installation of the “Waves of Color”, which is a procession of 102 yellow flags. The flags are located on each of the 102 Victorian lamp posts on First Avenue starting at the Historical Society’s “Welcome to Atlantic Highlands” sign off of Route 36 and culminating at the Municipal Harbor.
